Næstved proved clearly strongest and won the league, while Hillerød took the other promotion spot. AB finished fifth in the promotion play-off with 38 points after 32 matches and an overall goal difference of 42-38.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt was yet another chapter in a strange contrast in Danish football history. On the chest, the star above AB's old owl crest refers to a club with a past among the nation's absolute powerhouses.
