Football Memories
Farewell to a Legend
The 2005–2006 season was Alan Shearer's last as an active player – and what a farewell it was. Despite injuries and setbacks, the captain continued to deliver goals and leadership until he bid farewell in April 2006 as the club's all-time top scorer. This jersey was part of that journey, worn with pride in the cold and love of the North East of England.
Shearer and Company
Shearer was naturally at the center, but the squad also featured names like Nolberto Solano, Scott Parker, and the then-young Charles N’Zogbia. Under Glenn Roeder, the team found new life in the spring, managing to fight their way into the top half of the Premier League. Not least thanks to the intense atmosphere and loyal fans at home.
A Year of Fluctuating Rhythms
Newcastle started the season with Graeme Souness as manager, but the results failed to materialize. Stability was only found with Roeder's takeover and Shearer's strong spring. The club reached the FA Cup quarter-finals and finished an acceptable 7th in the league – a season marked by transition, but also moments of brilliance.
The Jersey from the Season of Change
Designed by Adidas in the iconic black and white stripes with blue details and Northern Rock sponsor – a classic Newcastle look from the mid-00s. The jersey is size XL and has a small mark on the back, but otherwise looks great as a memento of an era that closed with dignity.
Do you remember Shearer's last goal against Sunderland? Then this jersey is for you.
