In a league dominated by PSG's star-studded squad, Rennes battled for stability and ambition this season. The club from Brittany was coached by Philippe Montanier and relied on a mix of young talents and experienced players such as Ola Toivonen and Sylvain Armand.
The team finished in the lower half of the table, but the jersey from that season made an impression. The vertical split between red and black has always been a Rennes trademark – and this edition, with a black collar and large SAMSIC logo, is one of the most striking.
The back is adorned with the "SRFC" initials and the sponsor print "BLOT Immobilier," which is partially peeled off – a detail that speaks of a jersey worn and loved.
Although the club did not win any trophies this season, the jersey was a symbol of continuity and passion in one of France's most traditional clubs.
