Reading FC had just written themselves into Premier League history with a remarkable debut in 2006–07. However, the season became more dramatic than expected. Despite big wins like 6–0 over Derby and important points against Liverpool and Manchester City, the team fought against relegation all spring. In the final match, one goal was missing to secure survival – but it never came. Reading were relegated despite 36 points and a goal difference of -25.

 

This jersey stands as a symbol of the club's indomitable fight and second season in the world's toughest league. An era when Madejski Stadium was buzzing, and Reading became a name no one could ignore.
