There's no football club on the chest, but the sweater still captures something of what Fodboldminder (Football Memories) is about: the strange Danish traditions, logos, and images that can instantly transport you back to a specific time and place.
For residents of Funen, Albani is part of the local cultural history. Blålys first appeared in 1960 and was nicknamed "the church beer" because the label showed the brewery's distinctive Svalebakketårn. In 1987, Rødhætte arrived, and the two Christmas beers have existed side by side ever since.
The sweater has turned the entire story into knitwear: the Albani name, the Jule Bryg labels, and the red and blue bottles are repeated all around the body and sleeves. It almost looks like a classic Nordic Christmas sweater until you discover that the reindeer have been replaced by beer bottles.
