Claudio Ranieri had already made Cagliari history once. More than 30 years later, he returned and first led the Sardinians up to Serie A – and then through a nerve-wracking season where survival was the only result that truly mattered. This dark blue third jersey was created precisely for that return.

The jersey is unusually closely linked to Sardinia. EYE Sport designed and produced the model on the island, and the red sleeve cuffs feature a geometric pattern inspired by traditional Sardinian dance. On the back, "Casteddu" – the Sardinian name for Cagliari – is displayed. The model originally cost €95.
On the pitch, it was a fight for survival in Serie A. Ranieri's team had profiles such as Nahitan Nández, Gianluca Lapadula, and the young Zito Luvumbo, but spent large parts of the season around the relegation zone. Survival was secured before the last matchday, and Cagliari finished 16th.
Thus, the season also had a special ending. Ranieri had begun his great coaching career in Cagliari in 1988, and after securing the club another season in Serie A, he bid farewell.
