Cocio Christmas sweater / Christmas jumper Ho Ho Ho Hot Cocio

There are few Danish beverages where the packaging is almost as recognizable as the contents. The yellow Cocio label and bottle have been in refrigerated displays, grill bars, and kiosks for generations – and now the entire look has been transferred to a rather uncompromising Christmas sweater.

Cocio was launched in Esbjerg in 1951, and "Since 1951" is woven into the logo on the sweater. The Danish chocolate milk has since developed into one of those products where the brand itself has acquired its own nostalgic value.

The front features the Christmas pun "Ho Ho Ho Hot Cocio" above a steaming Cocio mug. The back reads "Good Mood Moments" above the classic bottle, while bottles, Christmas hearts, and snowflakes are knitted into the pattern all the way around.

The result resembles a meeting between the traditional Nordic Christmas sweater and the refrigerator in a Danish grill bar. It's advertising merchandise, but at the same time very Danish everyday nostalgia.
